Director Biography – Jorge Franco. Jorge is Brazilian but works mainly in Europe. He teaches acting and music as well as making short films.
Director’s Statement
‘This intriguing script examines the crossover between life and art. You don’t quite know what has happened. And that mystery , of character, of situation, of viewpoint, is very appropriate- it fits both ‘Hamlet’ and ‘Dr.Anders’. A soliloquy seemed an appropriate form as they are a vehicle for as much truth as the character knows. Once the film has ended, Dr. Anders may well ‘do something’ but that possibility , like a good play, will resonate in the minds of an audience. We think it has depth, which you can reach out for in yourselves.
